  Healthy Starts for Kids

Cola-Cola Ltd. supports Quebec’s largest breakfast program.

Le Petit Dejeuner  was set out to offer all children the chance to have a nutritious breakfast before going to class. The project had such a positive effect on the children's academic achievement that, soon, many schools were knocking at the Breakfast Club's door.

Since 1994, thanks to the support of an increasing number of private and public partners such as Coca-Cola Ltd., the Breakfast Club installed kitchen facilities in 213 primary and secondary Quebec schools by the end of the 2006-07 school year.

Every morning, throughout Quebec, the Breakfast Club brings 15,000 children two essential elements to start their school day on the right foot: a nutritious breakfast and a nourishing environment. During the last school year, the Club served 2,000,000 breakfasts.

Cash for Kids

Over the past several years, Coca-Cola Ltd. has funded an in-store coupon campaign.  For every in-store coupon used from our Minute Maid products, $0.15 was donated to G.I.F.T. (Grocery Industry Foundation ... Together).  In both 2006 and 2007 over 500,000 coupons were redeemed for this program.  G.I.F.T.'s primary mission is to provide funding for Ontario children who are physically, intellectually or economically challenged. Through the years GIFT has supported such organizations as: Breakfast for Learning, Variety Village, Kids Help Phone, Big Brothers/Sisters, Ontario Special Olympics and the SickKids Foundation to name a few. Coca-Cola Ltd. will be continuing our commitment to GIFT. in 2008.
