It is with pride that we introduce the first Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CRS) Report for Coca-Cola Ltd. and Coca-Cola Bottling Company. To us, CRS is the intersection where sustainable communities and our businesses meet. It's also about meeting the expectations of our employees, customers, consumers and stakeholders, while improving our overall business performance.
We have five strategic focus areas that guide us along the path towards sustainable growth, and are the measures against which we gauge our progress:
- Water Stewardship
- Sustainable Packaging/Recycling
- Energy Conservation/Climate Change
- Product Portfolio/Well-Being
- Diverse and Inclusive Culture
We report on these priorities and how we will meet the changing expectations of our stakeholders within a framework of environment, marketplace, workplace and community.
In this report we will outline some early but important examples of how CRS is stimulating innovation and leadership in our business. These include the addition of 22 hybrid electric delivery trucks to our fleet the first in
Canada
- and the establishment of a partnership with WWF-Canada. We also lay out our goals for the coming years.
Our aim is to integrate CRS into our respective business strategies and operations. We recognize that we have a long journey ahead and much work to do. We are working with our people, partners and peers to identify opportunities for development, and we are committed to leading our two companies as we continue to learn, grow and improve upon our performance.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about or ongoing CRS journey. Your questions and feedback are welcome and can be sent to crscanada@coca-cola.ca.
Sincerely,
